This app is the worst. When I first got it was awesome, since the last upgrade I have hardly been able to use it. If it doesnt crash immediately upon opening I may or may not be able to access all of my issues. I was 1/4 of the way through the March 11th issue as of a few days ago, today I dont even see the issue in my library but I can buy it for it $1.99. If this is not fixed soon I will just cancel my subscription. I cant recommend this app.

Based on other reviews my problems seem common. Is it Apple newstand or NR issue? Can access thru Safari but it is awkward and slow. It has up to now taken me 4 tries to submit this: nicknames taken. 5 times. 6 cant submit without a nickname.

Wont open up, and the one time it did, it crashed out immediately. Sad, because, editorially, its a great publication.

Hasnt worked for months. Crashes before the issue even loads. Tried everything. Still crashes. If they dont fix this soon Ill be canceling my subscription.

Works fine on my iPad 128GB/iOS 6.1.3.

NRO provides some of the finest conservative commentary. After a month of glitches, todays update restores the NRO we all want...! If you deleted the app after the glitch-month, it is time to take the updated app for a spin. If you are a new reader, the app is straightforward, content is regularly updated, and the insight is refreshing.

If you like National Review youll love it. Im skeptical of the low ratings, hateful partisans giving low marks to an incredible and powerful conservative outlet. LOVE IT.

Love the mag, hate the app. Unwieldy, constant log-in problems.

Well-formatted for reading on my iPhone during the morning commute. Much better solution for NR Digital subscribers than having to download the pdfs and using a pdf reader.

I have savaged this app in previous reviews, justifiably so IMHO. This app had been updated to the point of being unusable, even denying access to my paid-in-full subscription. Well, somebody finally got it right. This version of the app is everything I could have asked for, and more than I expected. Thanks! Please dont eff with it!!!

I keep asking the devs to fix a bug where NR digital credentials dont work in this app. In the meantime on iPad I just read the web version. Wish it would work on iPhone, though.

Theres only one way to get NRs engaging, witty and thoughtful pieces delivered to your iOS device fortnightly, and this newsstand app is it. Unfortunately the app crashes at least once per visit. Better than hunting for the paper magazine, but not by much. Posting this review in the hope that NR will retool or refine the experience - the sooner the better.

Purchased the "Nov 25" edition and it crashes repeatedly. I cannot swipe more than a few pages without it crashing. As it stands, do not download the app or purchase the magazine. I contacted technical support and they are considering pulling the app until they can figure out the problem.

Crashes constantly. One of the worst news apps. Needs a new web company to start over.

This is the opposite of the digital versions of the WSJ or Economist - user interface simply awful. Stick with the paper version, this is unreadable.

Contrary to the four published reviews, and much to my surprise, this is an excellent app. the interface is smooth and the graphics good. I have experienced NO crashes (ios7 iPad), which is more than I can say for the WSJ app (which I also like, however).

After several DLs, reloads etc and not a single article ever loading I gave up. If zero stars was possible Id give this app fewer.

Tried 3 times to read article and screen went blank. App is open, but unable to use it. Deleted and reinstalled in hopes it would work.

Whats the problem? Why no fix?
